The main change that was made to the original design is that originally, the details and the images were only on one side each. This did make it look clean and easy to follow, however it also made it uninteresting and boring with no movement throughout the design. To fix this, the details and images now alternate between the 2 columns, creating a weaving effect like vines down the page. This increases the creativity and also creates a connoting theme linking to the gardens. These alternating boxes have been implemented throughout each page where possible to implement continuity. On the festival page, the logo was planned to take up the top of the page with an overview of the festival placed on top of the lower half. This was to give an interesting background to the section, but with the logo not being designed yet, it could end up severely clashing with the text. To prevent this, the logo has been changed to a smaller section positioned above the text now, giving more than enough space for both elements. Although a larger logo could have looked better, it would’ve taken up too much space that could be used for other elements. To increase interactivity within the site to keep users engaged, in the section for “The Team”, instead of having 4 clickable images, I have changed it to a scrollable box. This makes it more entertaining for users than a simple click. Originally, you would click on an image which would then bring up a new box with information on that member. Instead, now it shows both the image and the information next to each other, with the ability to drag the box to the side to then allow the next member to be visible.
