Mission Statement Create a music space for an artist to easily share their music and help give listeners an insight into their inspiration. Colour Many musical sites seem to use much darker colours for the overall scheme like black backgrounds. This allows the colour in the album covers to have a strong contrast and stand out. Using this contrast in colours allows the user to easily find separate tracks with white text giving an increased readability compared to other colours such as blues, reds, or greys. Mood Board Mood board – https://www.figma.com/file/of4eAtH40Sm6uMDx4WiynQ/Web-Mood-Board?type=whiteboard&t=drJTDiVEf8cJq6En-1 After viewing different sites, most use a relatively simple layout especially for pages like discography and merch. To make the pages such as discography more interesting, when selecting a song it will have an adapting hero background similar to sites like Netflix and Amazon. Backgrounds are extremely simple, usually a pure black or white solid background apart from a header on some. For continuity and contrast across the pages, each will have a header image fading into the black background, which will add more visual elements and make album covers easy to find against the background. On pages such discography and song inspirations, the background image will change depending on which song is selected and show that cover with the relevant release date, name, and song duration. User Research Around 80% of users said that they view the website before downloading the app. Because of this, more detail will be added to the web version than the app version as they will already know the basics if they’ve already used the website. The information that will be removed from web will not be important information, but instead filler information specifically used to make navigation slightly easier across the different pages from the landing page (such as extra images or page descriptions).
