Social Media

For social media profile pictures, the now alternate logo would be used as this is already designed in a circular frame making it fit perfectly into any profile picture. Having one consistent picture will help users recognise the organisation when searching on other sites too, increasing the ease of access for the viewer. Because this logo uses the same colour scheme as the organisation’s posters and web/app, they will also be able to relate those colours at first glance.  Instagram would be best used for event updates, short and medium length videos as reels, and polls on stories. It is often more visually attracting than other medias as posts on profiles are laid out in a grid order rather than list like twitter. This makes it easier to find posts as if all post covers are relevant to the post, users can find an image that interests them most to then click on first.  Instagram analytics can be helpful for organisations to see how viewers are engaging in posts and getting more impressions. This will allow them to know what posts works best and what viewers seem to be more interested in, allowing them to adapt what they do to suit more people.  X/Twitter is the easiest way to communicate directly with other users, mainly through their standard text-based tweets. These allow quick communication to users as there is no need to use any images too. It is also very easy for both the organisation and following users to share their posts to their own profiles, allowing them to help promote collaborating organisations or users to share upcoming events.  Tweets would be best used for live updates such as sudden event changes, Q&As and unscheduled posts. They can be with images, videos, or neither with text descriptions to give the viewer a better understanding of what the posts are about. In these descriptions hashtags can be used for interacting with popular topics, as these are a big part of x’s interactions. Trending hashtags can be easily found on the right of the user’s page, with any posts using those hashtags being findable through clicking one.
