Adobe Illustrator Self Portrait

Design 1 With this portrait, I’ve used an older image with me using my hood. The reason I’ve chosen this image along with giving no facial details apart from my mouth is because throughout my online presence I never show my face. The hood represents that the actual person that I am is hidden away, but people still hear my voice such as in calls with friends. Another reason why only my mouth is shown is because I write lyrics for music. With the songs being my own words, it’s another way people can hear things from me without them needing to see who I am.  The original image was taken in the North Yorkshire Moors, which is a place I enjoy going for the large skies and greenery. Originally, the background had a lot of trees and detail, but little sky. Because of this, I decided to replace most of the background with sky to represent the openness of the moors instead of the detail of the specific place that I was.  Design 2 With a lot of who I am being formed digitally, I decided to use my desktop for this portrait. It’s where I mainly socialise, graphically design, and write and produce music. These are large parts of my life and a big influence on what I wish to achieve in the future with my career and hobbies. The possibilities for creativity just from my desk allow me to express myself in different ways and ultimately form a lot of my personality. Many people wouldn’t relate this to me unless they had seen it, but to me it’s a place that I know I can be myself and show who I am and who I want to be through different forms of digital media.
